The peak traffic over CIX crossed the line of 50 Gbit/s

On Wednesday, April 12th 2017, the peak traffic over CIX crossed the line of 50 Gbit/s for the first time. The peak traffic of 40 Gbit/s was first breached in November 2016, which means that CIX traffic increased by 25% in last six months.

Redundant optical link between CIX1 and CIX2 locations established

Redundant optical link between CIX1 and CIX2 locations is established on 22nd February 2017.

Redundant optical link is independent on 90% of the length in relation to the primary link and its throughput is 10 Gbit/s at the moment. The CWDM system will be built on the redundant link by the end of March and throughput capacity of the redundant link will be upgraded to 20 Gbit/s after insallation of CWDM system. After that, total bandwidth between CIX1 and CIX2 location will be 40 Gbit/s.
