CIX member can become any legal entity which satisfies the following conditions:
- Autonomous System (AS) Number: CIX members are required to have their own properly assigned and globally unique AS number which is assigned by a RIR (Regional Internet Registry) and added to the appropriate publicly available collection of data.
- IP Address Space: CIX members are required to have their own properly assigned and globally unique IP address space which is assigned by a RIR (Regional Internet Registry) and added to the appropriate publicly available collection of data.
- Global Internet Connectivity: CIX members are required to have their AS number and IP address space provided with global Internet connectivity before the connection to CIX is established.
